Deep Stretch Yoga with Intention Setting
Sunday, Jan. 1
9:30-11 a.m.
KadiFit
19725 Oak St.

Why not start the new year off with some deep stretch yoga and mindful intention setting? No, seriously: The benefits of yoga are immeasurable and doing it in an encouraging group setting like the one at KadiFit could be just the right “new leaf” for you to turn over for 2017. And its led by the incomparable Megan Hively of Y2YWellness.

“Deep Stretch yoga is a slower form of yoga made up mostly of floor poses that are held for varying lengths,” Hively explains. “Its benefits can include increased flexibility, improved mobility, a relaxed nervous system, and a calmed mind. It is a wonderful practice for beginners and advanced yogis alike because of its slower pace and many pose variations.”

Megan McFadden, instructor at The Meditation Room here in OTC co-leads the class. “In this class we will spend time actively setting a personal intention for 2017, in this way you will establish a deep connection to your New Year’s resolution,” she says.

The class is free for KadiFit members and only $7 for non-members. (Joining KadiFit is easy and fun – The first class is always free and there are often promotions offering even more savings while you get fit in mind, body and spirit. Learn more.)
