For nearly 150 years, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte has had a prominent voice in our community. Their focus on youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living has supported countless people in their efforts to improve the world around them. That being said, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte is in a unique position, as their community is in greater need of support now, yet they have had to temporarily close all 19 of their locations. Because of this predicament, they have channeled their creativity to build new opportunities for community support, social-distancing-style.
Coming together to celebrate our community is one of the most important core values of Old Town Cornelius. The Drive-In Movies at the Mill is bringing a timeless favorite to our community as a response to social distancing guidelines. We are pumped to bring this recurring event to the streets of OTC!
Cool Fish LKN aims to create a casual social space for community members to come together to enjoy good food and creative drinks, making unforgettable memories. This mission presented a great obstacle for the owner, Alex Atkins, during the age of COVID-19. How could he continue to bring together the community during a time when we are supposed to be apart? The answer — Live DJ Streaming all month long!
