New in the Neighborhood: The Bungalow Market

A fun mix of modern and vintage home decor just landed in the Oak Street Mill, called The Bungalow Market.  The shop is locally owned by husband and wife team, Brett and Greta McCoy from the LKN area.

The Bungalow Market offers a unique mix of vintage and new pieces to add unique character to any space!

Greta is an Interior Designer with a love for one-of-a-kind antiques that Brett masterfully refinishes.  Their styles include mid-century-modern, industrial, and bohemian with a mix of unique new furnishings, lighting and accessories from sought after design sources from High Point, NC.  If you’re looking to style your home with beautifully, hand-picked finds you need to make a stop in the Bungalow Market.

The Bungalow Market has also sourced gifts by local NC talents, from their hand screen-printed kitchen towels and cutting boards out of Asheville, to their Honey Simple Syrup cocktail mixer out of Davidson.  Feast your eyes on local art from Charlotte and Davidson and wood wall mosaics out of Huntersville.  There truly is something for every type of style inside.

Greta and Brett have lived in the LKN area for 16 years and knew they wanted to embark on a business adventure in the area they know and love, so they didn’t stop at opening the Bungalow Market!  They have also opened Huck Cylces, an electric bike shop in the back of the market.  They noticed the trend in electric bikes out West and once they tried the bikes themselves they were hooked!  A bike that you can pedal or use battery powered force to take you up to 30 mph, what fun!

A Huck Cycles design by Brett McCoy

Huck Cycles is Brett’s expertise, as he designed an e-bike that incorporates details that alot of other e-bike companies were missing.  He partnered with a long time, local friend and electrical enthusiast to complete the new design.  Huck Cycles is the only e-bike builder in the Charlotte area and one of 2 builders in NC.  Most of the bike parts are made in NC and all of the bikes are assembled in Cornelius.  The best part?  Brett served in the Army so Huck Cycles and The Bungalow Market and veteran owned.

Come support local, Greta and Brett would love to meet you!
